Image Title: The Great Orion Nebula and Running Man

Image Description and Details : The clouds parted for about 5 hours last week, and I photographed the beautiful Orion Nebula using two cameras, and two telescope systems.

This image includes about 6 hours of total exposure time in RGB/H-Alpha.

My backyard is a Bortle Scale class 7, and the moon was 95% illuminated during the majority of this imaging session. The H-alpha data was crucial to bring the details forward and was used as a luminance layer on the broadband data.

I applied a 35% layer of existing data shot using a QHY268C camera and Radian Triad Ultra filter for the core.

Radian Raptor 61/SX-42 Mono (Ha)
SW Esprit 150/Canon EOS Ra (RGB)

45 x 4-minutes (H-Alpha)
40 x 2-minutes (Broadband RGB)
20 minutes of 10, and 30-second exposures for the core

Integration: DeepSkyStacker
Processing: PixInsight, Photoshop
