Description and Details: M42, the holy grail for every astrophotographer. Tackling this target again—early attempts quickly showed it's stunning in traditional broadband imaging, but that's where the real hurdles kick in. No ideal skies here: poor weather dominates Orion season, smog and city light pollution interfere, low horizon altitude limits sessions, and even lingering snow adds grief.​

Still, I figured if I didn't push it, I'd never know. So I committed multiple nights, grabbing just a few to a dozen frames each time during peak transit.
