Description and Details: A Type Ia supernova shines brightly in the galaxy NGC 7331, captured on August 8, 2025, near its maximum brightness.
This image is a combination of two images, taken with a Celestron C11HD at full focal length and an ASI2600MM camera. A comparison with a previous image from 2024 clearly reveals the transient.

Additionally, a low-resolution spectrum obtained on July 21 with a StarAnalyzer200 and the same setup (see my website) confirms the thermonuclear nature of the explosion, showing Si II, Fe II/III, and O I / Mg II features typical of Type Ia events.
