The Eastern Veil

Image Title: Bat Out of Hell - Fire and Brimstone Edition

Date image was taken: September 25, 2023

Location: Backyard, Dublin, Ireland

Image Description and Details: The Eastern Veil (Caldwell 33) is part of the Cygnus Loop, a large SNR in the constellation of Cygnus. This is 3.5hrs of Ha, 2hrs of OIII and 10mins each of R, G and B for the stars. Normally presented in a HOO palette this started out as a dynamic Foraxx blend with tweaks to hue, saturation and curves to give it a Halloween vibe. Taken from my Bortle 7 backyard in Dublin, Ireland.

Captured using NINA and processed in AstroPixelProcessor, PixInsight and Photoshop.

Equipment Details: Takahashi TSA-120 w/ 0.7x Reducer, ASI2600MM, Chroma 5nm Ha, Chroma 3nm OIII and Chroma RGB filters.
