Description and Details: IC 1396, widely known as the Elephant's Trunk Nebula, is a classic emission nebula in Cepheus that remains a favorite for both beginners and experienced astrophotographers alike. Despite its popularity, its complex mix of bright, ionized gas and dense, dark interstellar dust lanes always makes it a pleasure to image. For me, this prominent star-forming region served as the perfect 'first light' benchmark to test the tracking precision, sampling, and overall performance of my new equipment setup under the night sky. To framing the region properly, the image was planned and executed as a 2-panel mosaic.

-Software: Siril, Adobe Photoshop, RC-Astro Tools
