Description and Details: LDN 881, also known as Lynds Dark Nebula 881, is a dark nebula nestled within the Butterfly Nebula (IC 1318) complex, near the bright star Sadr (γ Cygni) in the constellation Cygnus.
Its location is about one-third of the way from Sadr to the Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888).
I was looking for an object within Cygnus that is frequently photographed, and this star field seemed very promising.
The image is a combination of RGB, Hα, and OIII data, with 10 hours of RGB data and 10 hours of narrowband data.
It was captured with a TS RC8" @ 1080 mm f/5 telescope and an OSC Svbony 605CC camera.
Processing software used: Siril, BXT, NXT, SXT, Graxpert, and Photoshop.
