Description and Details: Located at a relatively “near” distance from Earth, 22,000 light-years away, it groups together more than 500,000 stars in a diameter of 145 light-years.
It is located in the constellation of Hercules and is between 12 and 14 billion years old. It was discovered by Edmond Halley in 1714.
