Description and Details: LBN 331 & 32 Cyg
Emission Nebula LBN 331, the bright star at the center of the image is 32 Cygni, a binary star system (32 Cygni A and B). It is approximately 1,100 to 1,174 light years away. LBN 331 was first referred to as Simeis 107 by Gaze and Shajn (1955), later by Beverly Lynds as LBN 331 and then by Dickel, Wendker and Bieritz as DWB 172, 177, 178 and 179.
