Description and Details: The chaos in space is well illustrated by this oft-imaged part of the night sky, referred to as the mouthful – Rho Ophiuchi. Widefield imagers drool over this object as it shows up distinctly in their milkyway nightscapes. The region abounds in blue reflection nebulae, one of which is the Blue horsehead nebula with its distinctive shape, while H-alpha emissions are seen in this rich smorgasbord of color. Dust lanes and star clusters abound in this most glorious region of the constellation of the Ophiuchus…pronounced O-FEE-U-CUS!
