Image Description and Details: NGC 2537, also known as "Bear's Paw" is a compact blue dwarf galaxy (BCD) of bluish color in the constellation of Lynx, which presents several star-forming knots. Its estimated distance is about 25 million light years and its peculiar shape resembles that of a bear's paw. The galaxy is in an area of the sky where many other more remote galaxies are visible, including the spiral galaxy PGC23057 in the upper right and PGC2273292 in the lower left corner.
Equipment Details: The images were acquired with a C9.25 edge HD on AM5 and ASI1600MM camera with LRGB Ha filters for a total of about 15 hours from Modena.
