Description and Details: This is the Double Cluster (NGC 869 and NGC 884), one of the most beautiful star clusters to view with your eyes, but it also sparkles when imaged. One of the most appealing aspects aside from the two clusters, is the characteristics difference in star colours, ranging from white/blue hot stars, the B0 cream-colored stars, huge red giants and orange suns. In this field of view, the swath of background emission from ionized hydrogen alpha shows how rich this area of sky really is.

Imaging scope: TS Hypergraph 6, f/2.8, 417 mm f.l.
Camera: Atik 460EX OSC, at -5C.
Software: Processed in Pixinsight
