Description and Details: NGC 1365, also known as the “Great Barred Spiral Galaxy,” is one of the most striking barred spiral galaxies in the sky, located in the constellation Fornax about 56 million light-years away. Its massive central bar feeds an active core, while its well-defined spiral arms show intense star formation. It is a prominent member of the Fornax Cluster and a frequent target for studies on galactic dynamics. It has been observed in detail by several telescopes, including the Hubble.
