AAPOD2 Image of the month, January, 2020

Copyright: Álvaro Ibáñez Pérez

This image was chosen for several reasons, here are just a few.

  • Difficulty

  • Processing technique

  • Framing and composition

  • Uniqueness

It was a unique image that has only been successfully done a few times. As our access to better less expensive equipment and better processing software becomes more accessible surely these clouds will be imaged more often but for now this was a fantastic example of what the armature astronomy community can produce.

Congratulations Alvaro and thanks for submitting such an awesome image.
