Image Description and Details: SH2-278, in constellation Orion, is an emission nebula, with a dominant Ha signal (red areas), along with blue areas that are reflection nebulae (dust glowing by reflected light). It also highlights Herbig Haro objects, in the left center of the image. These are jets created when ionized gas, emanating from newborn stars, collides with nearby clouds of gas and dust.
