Barnard 150

Barnard 150, a dark nebula located in the constellation Cepheus 1,200 light years away, was captured with a 364mm focal length and a Player One Astronomy Poseidon C pro camera.

Known as the Hippocampus Nebula because of its characteristic shape, it was photographed from the United States by Mike Hamende, who did a superb job acquiring the raw images.

Thanks to a Sharpstar telescope with an F/D 2.8 aperture and a quality sky, the dust clouds present in this region were revealed with great finesse.

I had the pleasure of adding data on the galaxy NGC 6946 using my Newton 200/800 telescope, in order to obtain finer details.

I would like to thank Mike for allowing me to work on this color image, an experience I have wanted for a long time.
