Image Description and Details: It is a dark nebula located in the constellation Cepheus, 1,200 light years from Earth. It is also known as the Seahorse Nebula or the Seahorse Dark Nebula because of its shape.
The Barnard catalog compiled by the American astronomer Edward Emerson Barnard includes dark nebulae.
