Cat's Eye Nebula

Location: Arcadia, IN, USA

Data Acquisition Method: Personal Telescope Setup

Description and Details: The Cat's Eye Nebula, an active planetary nebula, was first light for me at a longer focal length (1645mm) and was one of the most difficult images I've ever processed due to the brightness of the core with respect to the surrounding gasses. It took many, many failed processing attempts before I finally found a method that worked. There is only one exposure length (no HDR) and no masks used. This was captured between April 17, 2024 and June 4, 2024 using an Edge 9.25 @0.7x, a Poseidon C Pro and an L-Enhance filter. There are 322*360s light frames (32.2h).
