Description and Details: NGC 3201 is a globular cluster in the southern constellation of Vela. We started imaging NGC 3201 during full moon but we where soon surprised to find unexpected signal in H-alpha.
We then waited for the new moon to explore oxygen as well and... we were shocked!
Total exposure 69h (8 hours for each filter of L-R-G-B, 18 hours hydrogen, 15 hours oxygen, 8 hour sulfur) taken across April and may 2025.
