Data Acquisition Method: Personal Telescope Setup

Description and Details: Sometimes you are in the right place at the right time. I was lucky enough to collect data on this beautiful object for four nights in a row. Even though only the first night was really good, I’m very happy with the final result. Shown here are 18 hours of integration with the Sharpstar 15028HNT-AL. I have wanted to capture this object for a long time because I absolutely love the Ha and OIII composition. I also find the shape of IC 443 simply amazing....somewhere between a brain and a jellyfish.

I find it absolutely fascinating that around 3.000 - 30.000 years ago (estimates vary), a massive star collapsed at the end of its life as a supernova, and today we are able to capture it with our equipment. I hope you enjoy the image.
