Description and Details: M45, better known as the Pleiades, is an open star cluster located in the constellation of Taurus. This cluster, visible to the naked eye, is about 444 light-years away from Earth.
It consists of several hundred young, bright stars, with the seven brightest being easily recognizable, even under slightly light-polluted skies. The Pleiades are often called the "Seven Sisters" because of these seven visible stars, although the cluster contains many more.
The Pleiades are surrounded by gas, dust, and diffuse filaments from the IFN (Integrated Flux Nebula), a network of interstellar particles illuminated by the combined light of all the stars in the galaxy. This faint IFN veil gives the Pleiades a bluish glow and subtle halo, creating a particularly photogenic atmosphere. This cluster is one of the most famous and studied celestial objects in the sky.
