Description and Details: NGC 7793 is a nearby spiral galaxy with soft, broken arms, textured in a cloud-like pattern. It has many small patches of reddish H-α knots. These bright spots mark places where new stars are forming, giving the galaxy its loose, flocculent appearance, and hence its designation as a flocculent galaxy. There are a bunch of galaxies in the field of view, over a hundred (yes, I counted them when the stars were removed).
