The California Nebula - NGC 1499

Located about 1500 light years away in the constellation Perseus, NGC 1499 is a very large emission nebula. Spanning almost 60 light years, this target required a 4 panel mosaic to capture in its entirety.

Imaged at F2 with the Celestron RASA 8, ASI 294 MC Pro and NBZ filter. Captured with the ASIAIR Plus. Guiding with ZWO mini guidescope and ASI 224. Eq6r Pro mount.

Data was calibrated and stacked in Astropixel Processsor and processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop.
