The Cosmic Checkmark

Description and Details: LBN 534 is an elongated molecular cloud in the constellation Andromeda. The reflection nebula vdB 158 lies along its southern edge. It is illuminated mainly by a hot B-type star. Its distance is estimated at 1,435 light-years (Wikipedia, 18 October 2026, “vdB 158”).
Below the nebula in the image is the small, inconspicuous planetary nebula PK 110–12.1.
Unfortunately, high, invisible clouds moved in during the last evening, producing visible halos. As a result, I had to discard two-third of the data.
