Vdb-152

Just in time for Halloween, this ghostly image is of VDB-152, also known as Ced 201. It is a faint reflection nebula situated just above a Bok Globule known as Barnard 175. It is about 1,400 light years away in the constellation Cepheus and spans about 7 light years from top to bottom in the picture. Ultraviolet light from the star is also thought to cause a dim reddish luminescence in the nebular dust.
