Description and Details: The common Rosette Nebula never gets old capturing. Significant star formation is happening in its core NGC 2244. The image was captured with an 8" ONTC Newtonian and a 6200mm full frame camera. 15hrs of RGB and SHO filters were used, and a blend of RGB was pushed across stars while the popular hubble SHO color palette was used for the nebulosity in this region. Sulfur and Hydrogen represent a large portion of the red spectrum, so the reddish orange represent a combination of those colors, while the green portions represent mostly hydrogen as it blends blends into the bluish teal of Oxygen III.
