Description and Details: Objects to image, abound in the constellation of Sculptor. See here in this widefield image spanning 4 degrees, is a star cluster and a galaxy. NGC 288 is a globular star cluster known for its loose, sparse appearance, featuring relatively younger, metal-rich stars compared to typical globulars , making it a subject of interest for understanding star formation in early galactic evolution. Seen also is the Silver Coin galaxy which is undergoing a period of intense star formation and is one of the nearest groups of galaxies to our Milky Way. It is one of the intrinsically brighter galaxies in our vicinity, only surpassed by the Andromeda Galaxy and the Sombrero Galaxy….Imaged on my Takahashi E160 scope in Deep Sky Chile.
